Cody Bumbalough: Account Executive

Meet Cody Bumbalough

Cody Bumbalough brings an approachable, straight-shooting style to his role as an Executive Account Manager at Weather Shield. He works with commercial building owners, facility teams, schools, municipalities, and other organizations that need clarity around flat and metal roofing systems without having to become roofing experts themselves. Cody is especially valuable for customers managing multiple properties because he helps simplify roof decisions, organize condition data, and bring a long-term view to budgeting and maintenance. His goal is to help customers stop worrying about their roofs every day and start making confident, informed decisions.

What sets Cody apart is his transparency. Before joining Weather Shield, he worked in commercial solar, which gave him experience on rooftops and around facility decision-making long before he officially entered the roofing industry. That background shaped the way he serves customers now: practical, honest, and focused on what actually makes sense for the building. If a roof needs attention, he will say so. If it has life left, he will say that too. Customers appreciate that he is not there to force a sale, but to give them a clearer picture of what they have, what to expect next, and how to plan ahead with confidence.

Outside of work, Cody is every bit as energetic and people-focused as he is on the job. He enjoys basketball, flag football, and coaching quarterbacks, and he spends a lot of his free time with his wife and kids cheering from the sidelines, running to practices, and keeping up with a full family calendar. That mix of competitiveness, care, and consistency shows up in how he works with customers too. He understands that most facility leaders are balancing a lot, which is why he works hard to be the roofing partner who brings calm, clarity, and follow-through when it matters most.

Will Solar Panels Put Holes in My Commercial Roof?

If you’re thinking about putting solar on your building, you’re probably excited about the savings… and a little nervous about what it does to your roof.  That makes sense. A commercial roof is not the place you want “surprises,” and the first question most property owners ask is the most practical one: “Are you going to poke holes in my roof?”

I’m Cody. Before I worked at Weather Shield Roofing Systems, I sold solar for about five years. Now I sell roofs and help building owners think through solar the right way, especially when the roof is part of the equation. Weather Shield has been protecting commercial buildings for over 45 years, so we’ve seen what works, what fails, and what costs people real money later.
