Inside Weather Shield Roofing Systems Culture: A Holiday Celebration to Remember
At Weather Shield Roofing Systems, we believe the strength of our company lies in our people. The ones out on the roofs, the ones in the trucks, the ones behind the scenes making sure every job runs smoothly — they’re the heart of everything we do. That’s why, each year, we make it a point to slow down during the busy season and come together to reflect, connect, and celebrate.
Our 2025 holiday party, held at the Nexus Center, was more than just a night of food and fun. It was a snapshot of the culture that makes Weather Shield special. A culture built on teamwork, appreciation, and a shared commitment to excellence.
Why Our Holiday Party is so Important to Us
You might not expect a commercial roofing company to break out the mini-golf and hot cocoa, but at Weather Shield, we know that taking care of our team is just as important as taking care of roofs.
This year’s celebration included festive games that blended creativity with roofing flair. Roofer’s Revenge was a custom putt-putt course built from TPO roofing membrane with a roof drain as the “hole.” It was a hit (and maybe a little too competitive, depending on who you ask). We also had corn hole, cookie decorating, a football toss, and darts.
Every game earned raffle tickets for a chance at some awesome prizes. More importantly, they created moments of laughter and connection that carry into our day-to-day work together.
Grateful for Our Team
At the core of our company culture is gratitude. We strive to be grateful not just during the holidays, but year-round. Still, our annual party is a chance to go the extra mile and honor the people who make a difference daily.
This year, we recognized several standout employees who were nominated by their peers for their hard work, reliability, and attitude. From crew leaders to office staff, we took a moment to spotlight those who consistently go above and beyond. (Stay tuned for our upcoming blog post highlighting this year’s award winners!)
We also gifted every team member an Owala water bottle and let them pick from a dozen stylish sunglasses brought in by Sunglass Hut. These are a small but thoughtful way to say, “Thanks for all you do.”
Leading with Culture in Commercial Roofing
Culture might not be the first thing you think of when you hear commercial roofing, but at Weather Shield Roofing Systems, it drives everything. A team that trusts and respects each other works better. A company that values its people performs better. And when employees feel seen and supported, that shows up in the quality of work we deliver — whether it’s a routine roof inspection or an emergency roof repair after a storm.
That sense of unity doesn’t just come from a once-a-year event. It’s built in everyday conversations, safety meetings, jobsite collaboration, and even lunch breaks. But events like our holiday party are a reminder that we’re more than coworkers — we’re a team. And that team spirit is something our commercial roofing clients benefit from, even if they never see it directly.
How do we carry this energy into 2026?
As we wrapped up the evening with raffle prizes and full bellies from Pit Stop BBQ, we couldn’t help but feel grateful. While 2025 brought its share of challenges and growth, it also brought us closer as a company.
Now, we’re heading into 2026 with a renewed commitment to the values that define us: integrity, craftsmanship, and care — not just for our clients, but for our team.
Ultimately, that’s what Weather Shield Roofing Systems is really about. Not just roofing — but building something stronger, together.
So, if you’re a commercial property owner or manager looking for a roofing partner that values people as much as performance, we’d love to connect. After all, we’re here to help you protect your investment with honest advice and dependable service.
